Managing Logistics Supply Chains - Managing and Leveraging Logistics Contracts
Holman Fenwick Willan in association with the Freight Transport Association, will be hosting Part 2 of their annual Managing Supply Chains Seminar programme. Part 2 follows on from the highly successful Part 1 seminar, which took place on 10 July 2012 and focussed on the main international conventions by road, air and sea, bills of lading, the Bribery Act and Incoterms.
Date
21 Nov 2012
Location

Summary
In Part 2, we will begin with a reminder of the common law position, looking at custodians of goods and agents and principals. We will then spend some time looking at what happens when things go wrong with supply chain arrangements. This will involve a review of damages which can be recovered at common law, withholding freight, injunctions and liens.
The seminar will then examine how the common law position is varied using standard terms and conditions and bespoke contracts, followed by a review of what happens at the end of a contract, considering issues associated with employees, assets, IT and data.
The seminar will conclude with a talk on index-linked container contracts, which will be presented jointly with, Phil Damas from Drewry Supply Chain Advisors.
If you did not attend Part 1, you are still welcome to join us for Part 2, as we will be covering different topics.
