Litigation
THE FUTURE OF DISPUTES
For large organisations around the world, litigation is an unwelcome risk to be managed or avoided entirely.
That is why risk is at the heart of HFW Litigation’s report on the future of dispute resolution. Our aim is to put the client perspective front-and-centre as we chart the development of the disputes market over the next decade and beyond.
The backbone of this endeavour is 30 in-depth interviews with senior GCs and other leading figures from across the global disputes industry. Their collective wealth of experience and expertise – covering a wide range of geographies and sectors – helped us to build a comprehensive picture of the evolving disputes and risk environment facing major companies.
Drawing from these sources and the knowledge our disputes lawyers have built up over years litigating on behalf of clients in courts around the world, we present 20 big-picture forecasts for how we see dispute resolution evolving through the decade.
To bring quantitative balance to our qualitative research, we also teamed up with the analytics provider Solomonic to drill into a deep mine of data from the English High Court – analysis we combined with disputes statistics from other major international hubs.
I hope that you enjoy this report. If you would like to discuss any of the issues it raises, please get in touch with one of our expert litigators. We're here to help.
