More about Felicity

Felicity advises clients on data protection / privacy, competition law and public procurement, EU law, and trade sanctions/export control.

On data protection / privacy, Felicity is assisting a number of clients in their preparations for the EU General Data Protection Regulation. She also regularly advises clients on a broad range of issues, including multi-jurisdictional privacy projects, data protection clauses, international transfers, the use of consent and other lawful grounds for processing, and the assessment of data protection risks of new projects.

On competition, Felicity regularly advises on information exchange in both a trade association context and at company level, and assists clients in assessing commercial behaviour and drafting agreements to be compliant with EU and UK competition law. She is experienced in conducting multi-jurisdictional merger control reviews, liaising with HFW's network of local counsel across the world. She has drafted Form CO notifications submitted to the European Commission and helped to obtain a decision from the European Commission to grant a rare retrospective derogation from the obligation to obtain prior clearance. She has also successfully obtained clearance for clients in the UK.

Felicity's public procurement experience includes advising on procedures conducted according to the 2014 EU Directives and the UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016, helping clients to challenge procedures where appropriate or, conversely, to run procedures which comply with the rules.

Felicity also advises clients on EU and UN trade sanctions and export controls, working with US counsel as necessary to provide a full picture on whether proposed behaviour is permitted.

Felicity is qualified in England and Wales.

We are working with clients across our international network to help them minimise the impact of COVID-19 on their business and to prepare for what's next. To find out more, visit our dedicated Covid-19 hub.

The London office is the firm's largest, with over 250 lawyers.

It offers the full range of services that HFW provides globally, with partners from the London office working closely with all the other HFW offices, as well as in many jurisdictions around the world. HFW moved to its current premises in September 2008, having previously been in nearby Lloyds Avenue for almost 100 years.
