About Rhys
Rhys is a Senior Associate in HFW’s Insurance & Reinsurance team, specialising in complex coverage and liability disputes across litigation, arbitration, and other forms of dispute resolution.
He represents policyholders, brokers, and insurers across a wide range of business lines, including property/casualty, business interruption, marine, trade credit, and professional indemnity.
Recent work includes acting for a broker in a dispute involving parallel proceedings in England and Australia, with total claims exceeding several billion dollars. Rhys has also advised on reinsurance claims arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, involving significant aggregation disputes.
Rhys recently returned to London after a secondment with our Sydney team. He also previously spent time in-house with a multinational insurer, giving him first-hand insight into claims handling and market practice.
He joined HFW as a trainee in 2019 and qualified in 2021.
