Eirini is an Associate of the firm and Greek-qualified lawyer (dikigoros), specialises in EU Regulatory, EU Competition, State aid and Public Procurement law and litigation. Eirini has a long experience in international arbitration and general litigation cases including insurance and reinsurance disputes.
Eirini holds an LLM from Ludwig Maximilians Universitaet, Munich, Germany where she focused, inter alia, on EU Competition law and also a Master in National and EU Civil Procedural Law from the Law Faculty of Athens. Eirini also holds a Diploma in Economics for Competition Law from the King's College in London.
Eirini, before joining HFW in Brussels, has spent time at the European Commission in Brussels with the Antitrust (E2-Consumer goods, Basic Industries, Agriculture and Manufacturing) unit, focusing on several cartel and abuse of dominance cases. She gained valuable experience by being involved in the landmark cases (like the cement cartel) during her time working there.
Eirini advises corporate and private parties on all aspects of competition, merger control and State aid law.
