About Rick
Rick is a Partner in HFW’s Dispute Resolution team.
He has broad expertise specialising in complex, high-value commercial disputes, acting for parties across multiple regions, including China, Russia and the Former Soviet Union, Africa and the Middle East, and is highly regarded for managing parallel proceedings in different jurisdictions. His experience includes securing and resisting freezing and anti-suit injunctions, and coordinating strategy across multi-jurisdictional proceedings, in collaboration with international counsel and specialists.
Rick has extensive experience advising on cross-border matters involving breach of contract, fiduciary duties, shareholder and joint venture disputes, and fraud and asset tracing claims. He also has significant experience in offshore disputes, including trust and commercial matters in the British Virgin Islands, the wider Caribbean and Gibraltar.
As Head of the firm’s Fraud and Insolvency team, Rick regularly advises insolvency practitioners on complex contentious domestic and cross-border matters.
Rick is qualified in England and Wales and admitted in the British Virgin Islands.
