More about Sara

Sara is a Partner in the commercial litigation team in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Sara acts in international arbitration and complex litigation in the English High Court, the Dubai International Financial Centre Court and the Abu Dhabi Global Market Court, and supervises local court litigation in the UAE and across the wider GCC region. Sara handles a wide range of commercial disputes, often involving cross-border issues, with a particular focus on financial crime, fraud, asset tracing and recovery and contentious insolvency. Sara also routinely handles financial services disputes, corporate (i.e. shareholder and joint venture) disputes, natural resources disputes, real estate and employment disputes and enforcement of local and foreign judgments and arbitral awards.

Sara is named as a leading practitioner in asset recovery matters in the "Who's Who Legal: Asset Recovery 2018" guide.

Sara previously worked as a public prosecutor both in Australia and in the United Kingdom prosecuting white collar crime. Sara is qualified in England and Wales and Australia (Queensland) and is registered as a legal consultant in Dubai, the Dubai International Financial Centre and the Abu Dhabi Global Market.

The firm's Dubai office opened in 2006 and has grown significantly over the years.

Now with 13 partners, 1 legal director and 26 associates, the office offers both GCC clients and international clients with operations in the region an integrated service covering dispute resolution, transactions and regulation across a number of industry sectors. Our team of lawyers, many of whom are Arabic speakers, come from diverse backgrounds and have a strong understanding of and established working relationships with government departments, regulatory bodies, agencies and locally qualified lawyers throughout the GCC region. Our experience shows that this facilitates the faster resolution of any difficulties our clients face.
