HFW selected for China's Ministry of Commerce Panel

Leading international law firm Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has been selected for one of two new panels convened by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM). The firm has been selected as one of 15 firms to provide advice on WTO and regional trade agreements, and cross-border dispute resolution.

MOFCOM initiated the international tender process for both panels in September, with the results of the selection being announced this week. HFW has been working with MOFCOM for some time now, handling a number of trade disputes, including acting for the Ministry on the EU anti-subsidy investigation into the Chinese bicycle industry.

HFW's tender was led by Partners from the firm's Brussels office, Konstantinos Adamantopoulos and Folkert Graafsma, both of whom have established reputations within the WTO arena.

"This is a significant development for HFW's international trade practice. Having worked with MOFCOM for some time now, we are pleased that the quality of advice we offer has been recognised by this appointment to the Ministry's WTO panel, following a tough tender process", said Konstantinos Adamantopoulos.
