HFW builds on international construction capability

Leading international law firm Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) is delighted to announce that Ian Taylor has joined the firm's Sydney office as a Partner, effective 11 August 2014.

Ian's practice, covering both transactional and dispute resolution matters, is focused on major construction, infrastructure, mining, engineering and public works projects throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. He acts for corporate and government clients and property developers, and also advises clients in the renewable energy sector, where he assists local market participants and international investors and syndicates in the development of renewable energy projects.

The recruitment comes on the back of significant investment in the firm's construction capabilities over the last 18 months. In 2013, Vincent Liu was promoted to Partner in Hong Kong to support the continued growth of the construction practice through Asia-Pacific. Also in 2013, the firm welcomed the market leading ex-Maxwell Winward team of three Partners and seven Associates. The team, led by Partners Max Wieliczko, Michael Sergeant and Robert Blundell, is considered one of the largest specialist practices of its kind in the UK, with extensive experience of both domestic and international projects. This year, Partner Robert Blundell relocated to the firm's Dubai office to support the significant growth opportunities we are seeing throughout the Middle East region.
