About June
June is a Senior Associate in the Singapore Commodities team, bringing over a decade of experience in structured finance, derivatives, securitisation, debt capital markets, loan transactions, and financial regulations.
She has advised numerous financial institutions, securities firms, asset management companies, and corporates on a wide range of complex structured finance transactions, cross-border derivatives transactions under the ISDA framework, securitisation, structured notes programmes, and repackaged transactions backed by various asset classes, including credit cards, auto loans, residential mortgages, term leases, hire purchases, air tickets, and consumer receivables. Her expertise also extends to loan transactions, including acquisition financing, real estate financing, aviation financing, project financing, sustainability-linked loans, and trade financing across Asia and Oceania, as well as financial regulatory matters.
Before joining HFW, June gained extensive experience working at three international law firms and serving as a banker and legal counsel for two Japanese banks. She was also seconded as a legal consultant for a British bank. Since joining HFW, June has provided comprehensive advice on all aspects of over-the-counter, exchange-traded, and structured energy and commodities derivatives, including collateral management and regulatory issues. June has also engaged in voluntary and compliance carbon markets, such as the EU ETS, EU ETS2, UK ETS, and CORSIA, and has participated in carbon finance transactions, including prepayment arrangements for Verified Carbon Units under Verified Carbon Standard REDD+ projects in Indonesia. Additionally, she advises lenders, borrowers, issuers, and arrangers on the derivative aspects of asset finance and capital markets products.
June is practising as a Solicitor in England and Wales, Hong Kong SAR, and New South Wales, Australia, and is admitted as a Lawyer in Queensland, Australia, and as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand.
She is also a Certified ESG Planner® and Certified Financial Planner®, holding degrees of Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance, and Bachelor of Science double majoring in Mathematics and Statistics. June speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
