Summary

The COVID-19 pandemic raises the prospects of lengthy delays, disruption and additional costs for current and future offshore wind projects.

HFW's construction Partners Michael Sergeant, Richard Booth and Senior Associates Katherine Doran and Chris Philpot will outline some practical steps for managing these risks.

The speakers will consider:

• The current COVID-19 position in the UK and how it affects offshore wind parks;
• Possible time and cost relief available under the FIDIC form of contract;
• Suggested good practice for notification of claims based on COVID-19;
• How COVID-19 should be dealt with in new offshore wind contracts.
