About Justine
Justine Barthe-Dejean is a Senior Associate with the Commodities team whose practice focuses on complex transactions and disputes in the energy and commodities sector. Justine has acted for clients in disputes in the High Court of England and Wales and on cross-border litigation and arbitrations, (including under SIAC, ICC and FOSFA rules) and has advised on a number of international joint venture disputes in energy and natural resources projects in South East Asia (including coal power plants and geothermal projects).
Justine regularly acts in commodities trading and charterparty disputes, and contract of carriage claims. She has the experience of several in-house secondments at major commodity trading and mining corporations, and has benefited from first-hand experience of the energy sourcing and trading industries. This has given her an understanding of the need for advice that is commercial, practical and tailored towards business-oriented solutions.
