About Alex
Alex is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Shipping Department focussing on dispute resolution, commercial contracts, and international trade regulation. Alex sits within the Department’s Dry Shipping, Sustainability and Logistics sub-sector teams. He advises on and handles disputes in respect of shipping contracts and has advised extensively on the regulatory and contractual risks arising out of emissions regulations.
Alex spent two years working in the international trade team of the UK’s Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, where he was responsible for bringing the Electronic Trade Documents Bill before Parliament. Alex now supports clients in respect of electronic bills of lading and has experience drafting software as a service agreement for electronic bills.
Alex focuses on the Japanese market and was seconded to a Japanese insurer in Tokyo. He spent six months working in the firm’s Dubai office.
Alex is qualified in England and Wales.
