About Tom
Tom is a Senior Associate in our London office who specialises in shipping and insurance and reinsurance sectors. His work spans a variety of maritime issues such as charterparty, bill of lading, and insurance coverage disputes.
He has experience advising on contentious matters across various sectors, ranging from marine and non-marine insurance, charterparty and bills of lading disputes, shipbuilding, ship arrest. Tom acts for owners, charterers, H&M underwriters, and P&I Clubs in both arbitration and court related matters.
He also has experience providing advice on non-contentious matters, including stevedoring contracts, charterparties, and service agreements.
Prior to joining HFW he worked in the operations department of a Hong Kong listed shipping company in their Hong Kong and Melbourne offices where he gained invaluable commercial experience of the Asian bulker market.
Tom speaks English and Swedish and is qualified in New South Wales, Australia.
