About Andrew
Andrew is an Associate in HFW’s Shipping team, working across a range of complex wet and dry shipping disputes. He advises vessel owners, charterers, P&I Clubs and terminal operators on major marine casualties, cargo claims, charterparty issues and regulatory compliance.
Andrew has significant experience acting in high‑value, multi‑party litigation, in all levels of State and Federal Courts, including on appeal, and international arbitration. He regularly helps clients navigate urgent casualty response, investigations pollution response and salvage or wreck removal issues.
Andrew helps shipowners, importers/exporters and port operators navigate Australia’s complex maritime regulation landscape, including particular expertise advising on biosecurity, maritime safety and the defence of complex criminal regulatory prosecutions under both Commonwealth and State laws.
Andrew is a member of the Australian Council for the Mission to Seafarers.
