About Tarek
Tarek is a Senior Associate in HFW’s Corporate & Commercial team in Kuwait. Tarek is a bilingual (Arabic/English) lawyer, focusing on corporate and commercial law, M&A, corporate restructuring and complex transactions. He advises international businesses and investors on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Kuwait, and local and international clients on corporate structuring, franchising, commercial agencies, intellectual property and commercial arrangements.
Tarek has advised on and led numerous M&A and corporate transactions, including transaction structuring, legal due diligence, and drafting and negotiating SPAs, SHAs and other transactional documents. His experience spans sectors including petrochemicals, industrial gases, financial services, healthcare, education and aviation, including aircraft financing.
In addition to his transactional practice, Tarek assists on specialised litigation, including construction disputes, and attends proceedings before court-appointed experts.
His previous experience includes working as a senior corporate associate at a leading regional law firm and heading the legal department of an industrial gases manufacturer in Kuwait.
