About Rula

Rula is the former Managing Partner of HFW’s regional office in Dubai and currently the Managing Partner of HFW’s Kuwait office with regional responsibility of the Saudi Arabia operations. Rula leads the Corporate and Commercial offering in the Middle East specialising in transactional matters. 

With over three decades of practice in the GCC, Rula is valued for her insight not only on legal matters but for her experience in navigating regulatory, government and relationship dynamics unique to the region. 

Her practice spans a wide range of areas, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts. She provides advice to companies wanting to invest in and/or expand their existing businesses in the Middle East and has advised a number of international companies in connection with their regulatory and licensing issues in the GCC.

Rula is bilingual in Arabic and English.

Rula is qualified in England and Wales and is also a member of the Kuwait Bar Association with full rights of audience before the Kuwaiti Courts. Through her dual qualification she is able to seamlessly integrate local and international legal services.
