About Simon
Simon is a highly experienced corporate, commercial and regulatory lawyer, with over 25 years’ City experience. He has a particular focus on the (re)insurance sector. Prior to consulting, Simon was a financial services General Counsel and a Chambers and Partners recognised Partner at a City firm.
Simon is proactive, commercial and business-focused, with a proven track record of solving complex, high value and technical issues. A strong negotiator and advocate; he cuts through the noise and usual arguments to achieve commercial solutions. Simon has represented a broad range of clients including large public companies, industry bodies, start-up entrepreneurs and a Central Bank.
His experience includes M&A; joint ventures; restructuring; private equity transactions; data privacy; outsourcing and commercial agreements (including SaaS); regulatory advice; insurance wordings and claims; and corporate litigation. Simon has sat on many industry committees and working groups, including co-Chairing the LMA Lawyers’ Forum for 4 years.
Simon practises English law. He is also admitted (non-practising) in Australia (NSW), Ireland and Northern Ireland.
