About Pierre

Pierre, who heads the Brussels office and shares his life between Brussels and Paris, has more than 30 years’ experience advising clients in both the Belgian and French markets.

Pierre manages the Brussels and Paris aviation practice comprising 15 lawyers who have a reputation for providing the full range of legal services to the aerospace industry, including advising on finance and leases, competition and regulation, State aid, procurement, as well as claims and insurance litigation. Pierre is involved in several leading aviation cases in Europe, ranging from State aid to airlines and airports to aircraft accidents. He is recognised as a leading individual in the Legal 500 Belgium (Aviation: tier 2), as well as in the Legal 500 France (tier 1) and Chambers France (band 2), with clients praising his full range practice.

His team is also known beyond aerospace for its niche practice in State aid, privatisation, public procurement and public service obligations.

The team has also developed a significant Belgian insurance practice and they are instructed in several high profile Belgian insurance claims, including fire, industrial hazards and professional liability, as well as in a number of insurance regulatory matters.

Pierre also works closely with other members of HFW’s jet’s and helicopters team, providing market-leading advice across jets, helicopters and general business aviation in financing, sale and purchase, leasing, regulation, insurance, contingency planning, emergency response and dispute resolution.

He speaks French, English and Dutch.
