About Joshua
Joshua is an Associate in the Commodities team in HFW’s London office. Joshua has assisted and represented clients in many international and trade association arbitrations (including arbitrations under the rules of the LCIA, ICC, GAFTA, RSA and LMAA), as well as in several English court proceedings. Joshua has experience in international trade disputes (particularly relating to physical commodities) but has also represented clients in several high-prolife banking, insolvency, civil fraud, director / shareholder and other general commercial disputes.
Joshua’s practice also includes advising clients on a range of transactional issues relating to international trade. He regularly assists clients (often commodity traders, producers and financiers) in drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, master agreements and GTCs. Joshua has also acted for clients on trade finance transactions, including prepayments and participation agreements.
Joshua is qualified in England and Wales. During his training contract, Joshua spent time on secondment in the Commodities department of HFW’s Paris office. He has also assisted HFW’s Geneva office on several commodities, shipping and trade finance matters. Joshua frequently assists on French language matters and also speaks Spanish at an intermediate / advanced level.
