Jake advises on a range of regulatory, corporate and commercial matters, focussing on clients in the insurance and reinsurance sector.
He has provided regulatory advice to clients in the insurance sector on a variety of issues including Part 4A authorisation, corporate governance, the Consumer Duty and regulatory capital relief.
His corporate experience includes advising on management buy-outs, and the acquisition of various PRA and/or FCA regulated entities.
Jake has recently advised Helios Underwriting PLC on the development of an innovative way of allowing existing and new members at Lloyd’s to “rent” participation in Lloyd’s syndicates for a limited period through a MAPA (a members’ agent pooling arrangement).
He has spent time on secondment to the firm’s Dubai office in the (re)insurance team.
