About Christina

Christina is a Senior Associate in HFW’s Commodities team with over a decade of experience in Singapore and London advising on commodity trade disputes, trade finance, and risk management

Her practice covers international trading and physical commodities disputes under all major arbitration rules, including SIAC, DIAC, LCIA, HKIAC, LMAA, SCMA and ICC, with particular experience in disputes triggered by geopolitical disruption, such as claims arising from default, non-delivery, and force majeure under trading contracts and charterparties.

She is also experienced with trade finance disputes, most notably matters involving large-scale trade finance frauds linked to the collapse of major Asian trading houses, concerning letters of credit, receivables purchase agreements and guarantees.

Christina has acted in high-value, multi-jurisdictional arbitrations in Singapore, Dubai, London, and Hong Kong, with damages claims of up to US$1.4bn. She has also acted on urgent relief, including defending against a worldwide freezing order and obtaining an emergency arbitration award.

Alongside her contentious practice, Christina routinely leads the drafting and negotiation of international trading contracts, charterparties and trade finance documents, including prepayment, offtake and receivables purchase agreements.
