About Tanya
Tanya is a specialist construction disputes lawyer whose practice is focused on complex high-value construction, engineering, infrastructure and energy disputes. Tanya handles disputes both internationally and domestically.
Tanya’s global infrastructure experience includes both energy and transport infrastructure covering disputes relating to oil pipelines, water mains and utilities, power generation, airport runways, road networks and rail projects. In the commercial arena, Tanya has advised on disputes concerning sports stadia, shopping centres, hotels and leisure.
A large proportion of Tanya’s experience centres around international, cross-border disputes and advisory work. She has advised on projects in various jurisdictions including Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Caribbean. Her international arbitration experience includes working under the major international arbitration rules including ICC, LCIA, AAA and UNCITRAL. Tanya also has particular experience in advising clients in claims against Governments and States under international Bilateral Investment Treaties.
On UK matters, Tanya typically acts on challenging and high-profile infrastructure projects, predominantly (but not exclusively) for civil engineering and ground works contractors. Tanya often advises clients on High Court litigation in the Technology & Construction Court and has handled numerous adjudications. Tanya is recognised in Best Lawyers “One to Watch” for energy law in 2023.
