About Rachel
Rachel has extensive experience in advising clients on a broad range of large-scale infrastructure, construction, engineering, commercial and international trade and customs disputes, including in arbitrations, litigation, mediation and adjudication.
Rachel has experience working for clients across jurisdictions in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
Recent work includes:
- Acting for international engineering consortia in an international arbitration arising from the design of a State significant light rail project in NSW;
- Acting for one of Australia’s largest contractors in defending cross border claims in Victoria, NSW and Queensland arising from the high-profile insolvency of one of Australia’s largest services subcontractors;
- Acting for an international engineering consultant in the defence of allegations of deficient services across Victoria, NSW and Queensland and multiple different projects;
- Acting for tier 1 engineering consortia across Victoria, NSW, Queensland and Western Australia to claw back unpaid monies in respect of the supply of materials and other goods under commercial credit arrangements;
- Acting for one of Australia’s leading building and architectural firms in a dispute relating to the design and construction of a private educational facility in the ACT;
- Acting in Federal Court proceedings involving allegations by her client against their former financial advisers in the conduct of a purportedly self-managed superannuation fund involving complex allegations of fraud, negligence, breach of contract, conduct in breach of the Corporations Act and the duties of a Trustee.
