Independent data: HFW has highest win rate among top litigation firms in the English Commercial Court

Independent data has revealed that HFW has the highest win rate of any top litigation firm in the English Commercial Court over the past 12 years.

HFW succeeded in more than 74% of Commercial Court judgments handed down between 2014 and 2025 – the highest win rate among the top 10 law firms with the most judgments during that period, according to data from litigation analytics company Solomonic.

HFW’s win rate is significantly higher than other leading litigation practices, with the 30 law firms with the highest Commercial Court caseload during that period succeeding in 66% of judgments on average.

Solomonic’s data also shows that HFW is consistently among the most active firms in the Commercial Court each year, acting on some of the most complex and high-value disputes in the market.
