About Melisande

Melisande is an associate in the London Shipping Litigation team. She has experience in both wet and dry shipping matters, acting for owners, charterers, P&I clubs and salvors. She has worked on a variety of cases involving salvage, wreck removal, grounding, collisions and general average, as well as numerous disputes arising from bills of lading and charterparties.

As part of her training, Melisande spent time working in HFW’s Monaco office and assisted on international matters with the Paris and Piraeus offices. In Monaco, she was involved in a range of contentious commodities and shipping matters through the courts and arbitration. She has also spent time in HFW’s commodities regulatory, trade finance and contentious insurance departments.

Melisande is qualified in England and Wales and speaks fluent French.
