About Josiah

Josiah is an Associate in HFW’s Houston office. He works with clients across the maritime, energy, and commodities sectors, supporting both contentious and non‑contentious work connected with shipping operations and international trade.

He advises shipowners, charterers, cargo interests, and energy companies on disputes arising from cargo damage and contamination, charterparty issues, vessel incidents, and environmental events. His experience includes work on litigation and arbitration proceedings in US courts and international forums, as well as proceedings involving vessel arrests, maritime attachments, and collisions.

Josiah also assists with transactional and advisory matters, including the drafting and review of charterparties and related shipping contracts, and advising on regulatory and environmental considerations impacting chartering and vessel operations. He works closely with colleagues to provide integrated support where disputes and commercial arrangements intersect.

Josiah supports clients operating in the US Gulf and internationally, and assists across a broad range of shipping, commodities and energy‑related matters handled by the Houston office.

He is admitted to practice in Texas.
