About Jenny
Jenny is a Senior Manager in HFW’s Shipping team.
Jenny is PRC Law qualified and holds an M.A. degree from Shanghai Maritime University with M.A. degree and an LL.M from University of Southampton. She joined HFW in 2000 and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2009.
Jenny’s expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of shipping litigation, insurance, arbitration and commercial cases. Her experience covers charterparty disputes, bills of lading, collision and salvage, pollution and maritime-casualty claims, personal injury and death, international trade, shipbuilding contract, ship sale and purchase transactions.
Jenny acts for major Chinese state-owned companies as well as leading Chinese insurers. She has represented clients in international arbitration proceedings (e.g. LMAA, HKIAC, SIAC, LCIA) and in English court proceedings, achieving successful outcomes in several high-profile cases before the Tribunal and the English courts (e.g. Shanghai Shipyard Co. Ltd v Reignwood International Investment (Group) Company Ltd [2021] EWCA Civ 1147).
