About Guy

Guy handles a wide variety of shipping casualty work as well as general shipping issues, and focusses on quantum matters.  He has considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of damages in Admiralty claims, particularly collisions, as well as strategy and quantum elements of port damage claims, crane and related (un)loader damage claims, unsafe port and related types of claim.  He also advises on General Average matters as well as chartering and sale & purchase practice, procedure and disagreements.

Guy joined HFW in early 1998 after 18 years as a shipbroker.  During that time he concluded many deals for the sale & purchase and charter of a wide range of vessels.  Guy has been based in London, Hong Kong and Geneva.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
