About Gudmund
Gudmund Bernitz is a Partner in the Shipping team with specialist experience in shipping, offshore and export financing.
Gudmund acts for finance providers and borrowers/sponsors on a range of matters including debt financing, leasing, restructurings, work outs and enforcements. He also advises corporates, particularly in the shipping and offshore sectors, on sale and purchase, charters, building contracts and other commercial matters.
He has spent time on a number of client secondments including to the export finance team of a major international bank, the legal team of a specialised asset finance bank, a geophysical services company and a leading shipping company.
Gudmund regularly lectures on shipping and ship finance and has contributed to a number of publications on the subject.
He is qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales and as an Advokat in Sweden.
