About Giles

Giles Kavanagh was elected as HFW’s new Global Senior Partner on 1 April 2022. He works closely with the firm’s Managing Partner and the Management Board in overseeing the firm’s strategy and operations, and he is responsible for chairing the firm’s partnership.

Giles previously headed HFW’s global Aerospace group between 2011 and 2022.

As a lawyer, Giles represented airlines,manufacturers, airports and other entities in the aviation service/supplychain. Giles’ contentious work includes commercial court litigation as well asarbitration and mediation. He is an accredited arbitrator. His non-contentiouswork involves regulatory and commercial advice to airlines and manufacturers.

Giles is the Legal Adviser to theInternational Union of Aerospace Insurers and a former Chairman of the RoyalAeronautical Society’s Air Law Group Committee.
