About Daniel
Daniel Martin is a Partner and leads HFW’s Sanctions team.
Since 2010 he has developed a market-leading team advising clients on all aspects of international financial and trade sanctions and is a recognised expert in his field.
Daniel provides commercially-focused advice on UK and EU sanctions, as well as the application of US sanctions to non-US persons, to leading international clients in our core shipping, commodities, energy and insurance sectors, and also to private equity firms, financial institutions and media organisations.
Daniel’s team of specialist sanctions lawyers investigate suspected breaches of sanctions, advise on how best to engage with regulators (including self reporting in the UK and other jurisdictions), and recommend effective remediation measures.
Clients rely on Daniel to provide urgent advice on one off transactions, advise on the impact of sanctions on corporate transactions, prepare internal policies and procedures and provide tailored practical training both in person and remotely.
