About Alex
Alex is a Consultant in HFW’s Shipping team, based in Melbourne. He has over four years’ experience advising and representing clients including creditors, commercial lessors and lessees, commercial vendors and purchasers, directors, shareholders, and high net worth individuals in commercial litigation.
In his current role, Alex supports clients, mostly acting for the plaintiff, on a wide range of high value and complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on class action disputes and shareholder dispute, in which he has a particular interest.
Prior to joining HFW, Alex clerked at the largest litigation firm in New Zealand for six months before pursuing a Master of Laws in the United States. After obtaining his Master of Laws and gaining admission to the New York Bar, Alex began practising litigation. From 2022 to 2026, Alex advised clients and appeared as counsel on a wide range of commercial litigation matters in New Zealand. He has appeared as counsel at most levels of the New Zealand courts up to and including the Court of Appeal.
