About Andrew
Andrew is the Global Head of Commercial Litigation at HFW and Partner in the Commodities team. He has a broad commercial and commodities experience which combines both dispute resolution and transactional and advisory matters.
Specialising in complex fraud and corporate litigation, Andrew has been handling high-profile commercial litigation and arbitration matters for over 20 years, most of his cases involving international or multi-jurisdictional elements.
Andrew has acted in high-profile litigation before the courts of England, Abu Dhabi Global Markets, BVI, and Hong Kong, and in arbitrations under ICC, LCIA, SIAC, and UNCITRAL rules. He is a member of the Commercial Court Users Committee.
Andrew also advises on contract drafting and review, providing risk management guidance to clients in the energy, commodities, and shipping sectors. He regularly drafts, negotiates, and advises on sale and purchase agreements, master agreements, and trading documentation for energy-related commodities and derivatives, including oil, LNG, coal, metals, sulphur, biomass, and carbon credits.
