The webinar will run twice, covering the same three topics for the benefit of worldwide markets.
William Gidman will look at the growing trend in MOA disputes. In addition to insights from recent and imminent Supreme Court decisions on available remedies following default, issues arise out of the limitations of pre-purchase surveys, the impact of EU Council Regulation 2026/506 (particularly for tankers), sustainability and recycling requirements.
Daniel Martin will look at the impact of geopolitical tensions on international sanctions, as well as practical steps to ensure compliance.
Marianna Moysiadi will consider index-linked payment clauses in charters, looking at what happens if the underlying index changes or no longer exists, as well as drafting tips for parties using these clauses.
