HFW Partner Marcus Bowman becomes President of UK Chamber of Shipping

Following a year as Vice President of the UK Chamber of Shipping, yesterday HFW Partner Marcus Bowman took up office as President for the next year.

In his opening address to the Chamber (which was reported in Lloyd’s List), Marcus discussed the importance of the UK to the worldwide shipping industry and called for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to work closer with the UK Chamber and its members to fully understand the industry needs.

The UK Chamber of Shipping is a highly prestigious trade association and a major voice for the UK shipping industry, with around 140 members from across the maritime sector. It works with Government bodies, Parliament, international organisations and others, to champion and protect the UK shipping industry on behalf of its members – HFW has held corporate membership for the past three years.
