International law firm Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) continues to strengthen its insurance and reinsurance practice with the recruitment of Partner Christopher Foster who joins the London office, effective 25 July 2016.

Christopher is recognised as one of the London Market’s leading insurance and reinsurance lawyers, with broad experience handling complex contentious matters, often international in nature. He focuses in particular on coverage disputes, run-off and professional indemnity work as well as Bermuda Form matters and brokers’ E&O disputes. He acts for insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and major corporate insureds and their captive insurers. Christopher has handled matters arising from some of the most significant losses over the years, including Californian wildfires and Australian bushfires, 9/11, bankruptcy of Enron, Madoff, Hurricane Katrina (and others), and film finance.

Christopher Cardona who leads HFW’s insurance and reinsurance practice said: “We are delighted to welcome a Partner of Christopher’s calibre to our international team. His experience of handling complex insurance and reinsurance disputes further strengthens our market leading reputation in this area”.

Christopher’s recruitment comes on the back of other recent investments in the team, including the recruitment of Partner Adam Strong in London and Consultant Rosie Ng in Hong Kong.

Christopher was previously a Partner with Herbert Smith Freehills.
