Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has won Law Firm of the Year at the Asia Captive Review Awards for the second year running.

The Asia Captive Review Awards recognise providers of captive insurance products and services who have outperformed their competitors and demonstrated the highest levels of excellence over the past 12 months.

A judging panel of ten industry experts selected HFW as winner, confirming the team’s outstanding work and track record in the captive insurance sector.

Richard Jowett, HFW’s Asia Pacific head of insurance and reinsurance, comments:

“The team has worked very hard over the past year to remain at the forefront of industry sector trends and issues, and we are delighted that our work has been recognised. We bring an unparalleled wealth of experience and knowledge, enabling us to develop innovative solutions for clients. We are always compliant with local regulatory requirements, but we are not afraid to push the envelope. In doing so, we have driven the progression of local regulatory regimes and improvement in captive regulation, which in turn has presented opportunities for those in the industry.”

In addition to acting for captives in Asia Pacific, HFW’s reputation and expertise sees the firm involved in matters advising captives based elsewhere in the world. The team have harnessed the resources of the firm’s leading international expertise in captive insurance to advise clients globally on inwards insurance and outwards reinsurance in Asia Pacific.
