Global, sector-focussed law firm HFW has been ranked among the top 50 firms in Asia by Asian Legal Business.
HFW is listed in the report as the 26th-largest international firm in Asia by number of lawyers in the region, moving up three places from last year’s rankings.
The rise in the rankings follows a period of sustained expansion for HFW across its offices in Hong Kong, Jakarta, Shanghai and Singapore. The firm recently boosted its Greater China transactional offering with the hire of senior corporate finance partner Wing Cheung in Hong Kong, which followed the launch of a transactional practice in Shanghai. HFW has also added six new partners in Singapore since 2018, and now has 40 partners and more than 130 total lawyers in the region.
Richard Crump, Global Senior Partner, HFW, based in Singapore:
“Our continued climb up the ALB Asia Top 50 rankings reflects both our longstanding commitment to Asia, and our practice’s ongoing growth and expansion in the region. We have ambitious plans to further strengthen our offering across our core sectors and services to ensure that we are providing the best possible support to our clients in Asia.”
HFW was one of the first international law firms to open in Asia, having practiced in the region for more than 40 years. The firm was recently named ALB’s SE Asia Aviation Firm of the Year and Maritime Law Firm of the Year at the Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia.
