Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has launched a new entity in Saudi Arabia as it continues to expand its offering in the Kingdom.
HFW has been in Riyadh for more than a decade and has now established a formal subsidiary as one of a select group of international law firms to have received a license from the Saudi Ministry of Justice to practice in the Kingdom.
This follows HFW’s recruitment in Riyadh of partners Abdulrahman Al-Ohaly and Euan Pinkerton, and the relocation of insurance expert Justin Whelan from Abu Dhabi and aviation specialist Francesco Fiorilli from Dubai.
HFW is one of the fastest-growing law firms in the Middle East, with its revenue in the region increasing by more than 60 percent over the past two financial years.
Yaman Al Hawamdeh, UAE Managing Partner, HFW:
“Saudi Arabia is an extremely important market for HFW and our clients, and these moves reflect both our longstanding commitment to the region and our intention to significantly expand our offering as part of the firm’s ambitious global growth plans. Thanks to our license, we are able to provide clients with expert advice on local and international law, with the benefit of full Rights of Audience before the Saudi courts, and the larger office space gives us the room that we will need as we continue to add leading talent at all levels.”
HFW has been in the Middle East since 2006 and has 19 partners and 60 lawyers in total across its offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait City, and Riyadh, making it one of the largest and longest-standing practices of any international law firm in the region.
