Global sector-focused law firm HFW has advised Zhongtai International Capital Limited as the sole sponsor and Zhongtai International Securities Limited as the sole overall coordinator and sole global coordinator (collectively “Zhongtai International”), together with 16 other underwriting syndicate members, on the listing and HK$200m initial public offering (“IPO”) of Zhonggan Communication (Group) Holdings Limited (“Zhonggan Communication”) on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 3 July 2024.

Established in 2002, Zhonggan Communication is an integrated service provider and software developer headquartered in Jiangxi Province of the PRC and focuses on the provision of telecommunications infrastructure services and digitalisation solution services.  Its major customers include key players in the telecommunications industry, including the three largest telecommunications network operators in the PRC, and the largest telecommunications tower infrastructure service provider in the world.

The HFW team was led by Hong Kong Corporate partner Wing Cheung, with support from associates Johnnie Ho and Joey Sze, and paralegals Karen Ip and Elly Yiu.

Wing Cheung commented: “We were very honored to have advised on this IPO. We thank Zhongtai International for its trust and congratulate Zhonggan Communication on its successful listing.

“Hong Kong’s IPO market has experienced an upward trajectory in recent months thanks in part to the various measures announced by the China Securities Regulatory Commission to encourage mainland companies to list in Hong Kong. We are optimistic about this trend continuing in the second half of 2024.”

HFW has significant capital markets expertise in Hong Kong, and also recently advised China Sunrise in its role as the sole sponsor of Lesi Group Limited’s HK$83.7 million listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in March 2024. HFW has been operating in the Greater China region for more than 45 years since its arrival in Hong Kong in 1978. The firm now has more than 85 lawyers in Greater China, including 20 partners, working across three offices in the region (Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen).
