HFW achieves top-tier rankings in Chambers Europe 2018
Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has once again been recognised as a leading firm in the 2018 edition of Chambers Europe, a guide to the region's best lawyers and law firms.
HFW achieved 24 practice and lawyer rankings in the 2018 guide, with six in Band 1 – the highest possible ranking in Chambers.
HFW's French insurance practice rose into Band 1 in the 2018 guide, while the firm also improved its rankings in litigation and shipping finance in the UK and France.
Chambers lauded HFW's "market-leading capabilities", "superb global reputation" and "extensive" industry expertise.
Clients, who were contacted by Chambers to provide anonymous testimonials to support the rankings, said that HFW's lawyers are "top-notch technically", "extremely accessible", "very commercial" and "good at anticipating potential issues and solving them before they turn into full-blown problems".
Clients also praised the firm's "great network of offices".
The Chambers rankings are based on a combination of research and client feedback, with assessments made on technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence and commitment.

It follows the firm's strong performance in Chambers Global, which was published in February. HFW achieved 78 practice and lawyer rankings in the 2018 Global guide, with 13 in Band 1. The firm is ranked in Chambers Global across 17 jurisdictions and regions.
