Global law firm HFW has won the Best Newcomer Award at the 2026 Pro Bono Connect Awards.
Pro Bono Connect is a collaboration between LawWorks, Advocate and the National Pro Bono Centre. The scheme enables solicitors and barristers to work together on pro bono matters, combining complementary expertise to increase both the scope and effectiveness of legal support available to those in need.

The awards ceremony, held at the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, brought together law firms, barristers’ chambers and access to justice organisations from across the sector. The event provided an opportunity to hear inspiring examples of how pro bono legal support continues to make a meaningful difference to individuals and communities.
HFW’s commitment to pro bono legal support was also recognised earlier this year with the inclusion of 11 HFW lawyers on the 2026 Pro Bono Recognition List, which recognises legal professionals across England and Wales who have dedicated 25 hours or more to pro bono work over the previous year.
Will Reddie, Partner and Chair of HFW’s Community Investment Committee:
“Pro bono work is a vital part of what it means to be a responsible law firm. It’s where our legal expertise can have a meaningful impact beyond our day-to-day work, , and it enables our colleagues to engage with work that is often deeply rewarding.
We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition from Pro Bono Connect. It reflects the commitment of colleagues across the firm who continue to dedicate their time and expertise to supporting those who might otherwise be unable to access legal assistance.”
