Winnie specialises in dispute resolution, particularly in the areas of shipping and international trade. She has extensive experience in representing shipowners, charterers, traders and insurers in a wide range of litigation and arbitration in Hong Kong, London, Singapore and elsewhere, including disputes arising from charter parties, bills of lading, general average, shipbuilding contracts, ship sale and purchase agreements, and bunker supply contracts. She has advised clients on yacht insurance coverage issues in case of casualties, the conclusion of charter parties as part of financing arrangement, and assisted clients in obtaining security via ship arrest and other enforcement matters.

Apart from shipping, she has also advised clients on non-contentious / contentious winding-up and other general contractual / commercial matters.

Winnie qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2016. She has spent time on secondment to HFW’s Shanghai office. She attained First Class Honours in Bachelor of Laws and achieved Distinctions in the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws and Master of Laws in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an accredited HKMAAL General Mediator.

She speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
