About Whitney
Whitney is a Senior Associate in the Aerospace team in Hong Kong. She qualified in Hong Kong in 2016 and has experience in assisting airlines, lessors and financial institutions in a variety of commercial aviation matters.
Whitney Chan is based in the Hong Kong office and is also qualified in England and Wales and the BVI.
Her key specialties include financing, leasing and trading for commercial aircraft. She has also worked on new aircraft acquisitions from OEMs, used aircraft and engine acquisitions, aircraft sale and lease-back arrangements, aircraft operating leases, and long-term engine maintenance agreements.
In addition to her broad commercial aircraft experience, she also acts on financing, leasing and management of corporate jets.
Prior to joining HFW in 2019, Whitney was an Associate in the Aviation team of an international law firm in Hong Kong.
Whitney also works closely with other members of HFW’s jet’s and helicopters team, providing market-leading advice across jets, helicopters and general business aviation in financing, sale and purchase, leasing, regulation, insurance, contingency planning, emergency response and dispute resolution.
