Tom is a litigator specialising in complex, high-value cross-border commercial disputes, asset tracing and enforcement, with a particular focus on fraud and insolvency.

He has experience acting for clients in claims involving parties from Australia, the United Kingdom, the European Union, China, the Middle East and offshore jurisdictions.

Tom frequently collaborates with investigators and legal teams across jurisdictions bringing a global perspective to his practice.

  • Acting for London market operator war risk reinsurers defending multi-billion dollar claims alleging detention of aircraft in Russia.
  • Acting for an Irish aircraft lessor seeking to enforce an English judgment against a HNWI’s local and foreign assets.
  • Acting for a client defending a claim to recover monies held in escrow following a dispute over the findings of a 10-year classification yacht survey.
  • Acting for the joint liquidators of a BVI company in relation to litigation before the English Commercial Court involving a claim against another offshore entity for breach of contract for USD 27m.
  • Acting for the joint liquidators of various companies in relation to proceedings in Isle of Man defending and counterclaiming against the Claimant’s application for declaration of trust over assets.
  • Acting for the trustees in the bankruptcy of a high-profile individual, including in relation to claims to recover assets into the bankrupt estate.
