Simon is a Senior Associate in HFW’s Insurance & Reinsurance team.
Simon specialises in international commercial dispute resolution, focusing on the insurance and reinsurance sector. He advises on major insurance and reinsurance losses, usually complex, cross-border and high-value, across various lines including property/BI, energy (onshore and offshore), construction/CAR/EAR, marine (H&M, war risks, cargo), liability/casualty, financial lines, D&O, specie and reinsurance. As well as advising on insurance and reinsurance coverage cases, he has experience of defence of liability claims, subrogated recoveries, policy/wording reviews, and general commercial litigation and risk management matters. In addition to court litigation, Simon has a wide range of experience in alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration.
Simon was named a “Key Lawyer” in Legal 500 UK 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26 for Insurance & Reinsurance.
Simon is fluent in French and German.
