About Paul

Paul has significant airline major loss experience in multiple jurisdictions, including foreign carrier accidents situated in Europe and in the United States. Paul advises insurers in relation to coverage disputes with Insureds domiciled throughout the world utilising his insurance industry background and insurance qualifications, notably, and more recently, claims arising out of the Russia / Ukraine conflict.

Paul remains focussed on developing a practice in emerging risks within the aviation industry, including the development of a UAV practice in response to both broker and insurer lead demands. Paul continues to act for airlines, manufacturers and airport service providers in several jurisdictions. Paul also has extensive experience in handling major general aviation accidents in Asia and complex sports liability aviation related claims in Europe. Prior to becoming a solicitor, Paul worked as an Aviation Lloyd’s Placing Broker at Aon Limited for 7 years placing major airline, products and general aviation insurance programs. More recently, Paul was seconded to a major insurer client in London, UK, acting as an in-house Senior Complex Claims Adjuster. Paul is often invited to speak and attend as a panellist at a number of market leading events, recent examples being the WTW Airport Conference in Lisbon, IATA’s Cargo Symposium (London), IATA’s RIM Conference (London) and IATA’s Emergency Response Forum (Geneva).
