Matthew Knox is a partner based in our Perth office. He specialises in legal matters pertaining to energy and resources, competition and market regulation, consumer protection and access within regulated industries.
The focal point of Matthew’s practice centres on the electricity and gas sectors, where he has provided strategic advice to government bodies, regulators, and private clients concerning commercial agreements, market rules and regulatory schemes. Matthew has acted on a range of significant projects including railways, pipelines, electricity and gas networks and port facilities. This diverse range of expertise showcases his in-depth understanding across various key sectors within the legal landscape.
Matthew also brings a wealth of experience in navigating the intricacies of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), having advised on all aspects of that Act including representing clients before the ACCC and in legal proceedings before the Federal Court and Australian Competition Tribunal.
