About Mark

Mark is a Senior Manager & Senior Master Mariner in our London office and forms part of our shipping emergency response team. Mark deals with marine casualties, including collisions, groundings, cargo claims and salvage. He is also active in yacht-related crisis management involving fires, helicopter incidents, tender/PWC related accidents, and total loss.

Before joining HFW, Mark spent 3½ years working in Abu Dhabi as a Master Mariner for the UAE Ministry of Interior. Based in the Naval Forces Institute, Mark developed and ran training packages for the UAE Naval Forces. Mark has sailed as Master on high speed passenger vessels and freight RoRo vessels. He has 17 years seagoing experience including tankers, general cargo, RoRo/container, passenger, naval supply and training vessels. Mark holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Navigation, HND in Nautical Science and is qualified as a Specialist Navigating Officer with the Royal Navy.
